corona virus safety when attending hypnotherapy sessions

COVID-19 Safety Guidelines for hypnotherapy clients

High-risk clients

If you

  • have high-risk factors for COVID or
  • have had any condition or treatment in the last twelve months which could compromise your immunity, or
  • have not had both inoculations

you are advised to consider online sessions or to seek medical advice before attending in person.

Other clients: therapy during COVID

updated 28th January 2022

I can make face to face appointments although some COVID safety precautions will be in place.

Face-to-face appointments

Attendance

Therapy sessions will be, as always, on an appointment basis only.

You should not attend your appointment if you or anyone you have been in close contact with:

  • is experiencing possible COVID symptoms such as a cough, high temperature, or breathlessness
  • is waiting for a COVID test result or
  • has been asked to self-isolate (e.g. by NHS Test and Trace).

If you cancel an appointment for any of these reasons, no penalties for late cancellation will be enforced. 'Cancel' means you must contact me before your appointment to let me know you will not be attending.

At each appointment, you will be asked to use a hand sanitiser on arrival. You may wish to perform a lateral flow test before you come - these can be obtained free of charge from THIS LINK or from some local pharmacies.

If I have to self-isolate (for example, if I am contacted via NHS Test and Trace) I will have to cancel face-to-face appointments but will notify you as soon as I can and re-arrange the time and date of your appointment.

Appointments

Before your first appointment, as much information as possible will be collected online to keep face-to-face time to a minimum.

Appointments will run strictly to time to allow for thorough cleaning between clients.

You should come on your own if possible (unless you are a child or a vulnerable adult who needs a chaperone). Enter the building on arrival and wait in the waiting room.

Please arrive no more than 5 minutes before your appointment.

There is no longer a legal requirement to wear a face covering, but people are advised to wear one in crowded and enclosed spaces where they may come into contact with people they do not normally meet. We are more than 2m apart during the sessions and there are only two of us in the room.

In practical terms, this means you do not need to wear a face-covering when attending therapy. However, if you feel more comfortable wearing one, please feel free to do so.

There is a QR code for those still using the NHS test and trace app.

Please use the hand gel or wash your hands on entering the building and before leaving.

Remember online sessions are still available, please see this page, or ask for details.

Payment

Payment should be made 24 hours before you attend, by bank transfer or Paypal and I will provide details of how to do this.

Between sessions

The client chair will be cleaned, and the chair covering will be replaced between appointments.

All frequently touched surfaces will be cleaned.
