How weight loss hypnotherapy helps
Many people with a healthy body weight say they eat all they want to, and never gain a pound. Where that's true, it's because what they want to eat is the right kind and amount of food to maintain their healthy weight. They eat when they are hungry, and they listen to their appetite when it tells them they are full.
Those with weight problems have often lost touch with this natural mechanism. Their eating habits depend on emotional or environmental factors rather than on physical hunger.
We all know that the only way to change your body weight is to eat and exercise correctly. But if you have ever received emotional benefit from your unhealthy eating habits, it may be difficult to do this. If you overeat when you are feeling down, for example, trying to reduce your weight doesn't just involve reducing your food intake. It involves denying yourself a strong source of comfort and support.
Emotional hunger (for that feeling of comfort) may be what causes you to have cravings or to binge on unhealthy food. When you lose weight with hypnosis, you free yourself from these unhealthy habits, so you can achieve and maintain your ideal body weight.

Using hypnotherapy for weight loss
As you'll have seen elsewhere on this site, a hypnotherapist cannot simply click their fingers and compel you to be slim! You’ll need to practice and use the techniques you learn in the sessions.
